ABSTRACT
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic causes concern for pregnant women who
are susceptible to diseases that can cause harm to the mother and fetus and even
have an impact on death. Many pregnant women are reluctant to mobilize outside
the home, including in accessing health services for pregnant women and do not
perform Integrated ANC. ANC coverage of K1 and K4 means that in 2021 there
will be a decrease from the previous year, many pregnant women do not comply
with integrated ANC visits in the Pajangan Health Center Work Area.
Objective: To determine the relationship between husband’s support and maternal
compliance to carry out integrated ANC during the COVID-19 pandemic at the
Pajangan Bantul Health Center in 2022.
Method: Correlative analytic descriptive with cross sectional approach. The study
population was all pregnant women who did a pregnancy check at the Pajangan
Health Center. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling with
inclusion and exclusion criteria of 40 pregnant women. Data collection techniques
using primary data with a questionnaire. Data analysis using univariate and
bivariate analysis using chi-square.
Results: Husband’s support given to pregnant women who visited Antenatal Care
(ANC) in the supportive category (65.0%) and compliance with the integrated ANC
implementation of pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic in the obedient
category (70.0%). The results of the chi-square statistic test were 0.011 (p<0.05),
so it could be concluded that there was a relationship between husband's support
and adherence to ANC at the Pajangan Bantul Health Center. The strength of the
relationship between husband's support variables on Integrated ANC compliance,
the value of the Contingency Coefficient of 0.399 means that the contribution is
39.9%, while the remaining 60.1% is influenced by other factors not examined in
this research.
Conclusion: There is a relationship between husband's support and maternal
compliance to carry out integrated ANC during the COVID-19 pandemic at the
Pajangan Bantul Health Center in 2022.
Keywords: husband's support, obedience, integrated ANC
