Background: Anxiety in pregnant women were higher in the Covid-19 pandemic than before the pandemic. Anxiety felt by pregnant women can trigger various symptoms and diseases. Booklets are an effective educational medium for conveying various information, including information about childbirth during the Covid-19 pandemic. Aim: This study aimed to determine the effect of e-booklet media on preparation for childbirth during the COVID-19 pandemic on reducing the anxiety of third trimester pregnant women at RSUD Wonosari, Gunungkidul. Method: This is a quasi-experimental research using a pretest-posttest with a control group design. The study used two groups, namely the group with e-booklet in the treatment group while the control group was given the standard leaflet media. Collecting data using 3 types of questionnaires, namely anxiety questionnaires, questionnaires on knowledge of about preparing for childbirth during a pandemic, and social support questionnaires. The results were to compare the anxiety scores of pregnant women before and after the study. Result: A total of 52 participants took part in this study. The average anxiety scores between groups before and after the study were 5.08±5.57 vs 7.42±5.18 and 2.85±3.42 vs 2.88±2.95. The results of the analysis showed a significant change in anxiety scores (p=0.002 and p=0.000, p<0.05) before and after the study, but there was no significant difference between groups (p=0.062 and p=0.722, p>0.05 ). Conclusion: E-booklet education can reduce anxiety scores in third trimester pregnant women in facing the childbirth. However, there was no significant difference between the use of e-booklets and standard leaflets. Keywords: anxiety, childbirth, e-booklet, leaflet, pregnant women
