ABSTRAC Background: Pain almost occurs in patients undergoing surgery, the same thing occurs in post hemorrhoidectomy patients. The use of postoperative tampons in the anal canal is the main cause of 24-hour pain because tampons cause internal spasm resulting in stretching and pressure on the peripheral nerves in the anal canal. Objective: To analyze nursing care in post hemorrhoidectomy patients with acute pain problems using guided imagination relaxation technique interventions Method: The type of research used in nursing care is a case study with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, physical examination, and documentation. Results: Analysis of case studies in post hemorrhoidectomy patients with pain problems with the intervention of guided imagery relaxation techniques showed that the level of pain felt by patients was reduced from a pain scale of 4 to a pain scale of 3 (mild pain). Conclusion: Based on the results of the evaluation of the cases conducted, it was concluded that the administration of guided imagery relaxation technique interventions showed that there was a decrease in pain intensity. This shows that the provision of guided imagination relaxation techniques is effective in helping to reduce pain intensity in post hemorrhoidectomy patients.
