Background : There are 107 units of Garbage Banks standing in Kulon Progo Regency. As many as 15 units of Garbage Banks in Wates District until 2022 there will be 5 inactive waste banks. There are only 215 active members saving in the waste bank. Quoting from getradius.id, according to the Head of the Kulon Progo Regency Environmental Service, only about 10% of the total volume of waste in Kulon Progo can be reduced by waste banks. Even though there are already more than a hundred waste banks in Kulon Progo, not all waste banks are still active. Objective : Knowing the mapping of active waste banks, the distribution of waste banks, the mapping of waste banks based on population density with the number of customers and the range of waste bank services in Wates District, Kulon Progo Regency. Method : This research is a descriptive study with an observational study design. Through spatial analysis based on Geographic Information System (GIS) with Buffering and Overlay methods, and analysis using Nearest Neighbor. While the method of data collection using Total Sampling. Result : Kulon Progo has 100 waste banks, 26 of which are located in Wates City. Data from the Environment Agency and field data show differences in active and inactive waste bank data. From field data, there are 11 active waste banks, 5 less active waste banks, and 10 inactive waste banks. The number of customers in high to medium density areas reached 510 customers and 130 customers in low population density. The range of services with circle distances of 150 m, 300 m, 500 m and 650 m shows that the service range of the waste bank in Kapanewon Wates and the surrounding area reaches 41% of the population. The results of the Nearest Neighbor Analysis show that the distribution pattern of waste bank service coverage in Kapanewon Wates is even. Conclusion : Differences in data from DLH and data in the field can be due to the fact that data has not been refreshed and managers rarely fill out the web from DLH. The range of services at the waste bank shows that there are still hamlets and villages that have not been reached by the waste bank, so that new garbage banks can be established.
