Ergonomics is a biological science about harmonizing human factor as well as technical science and technology in a design in order to optimize efficiency and work performance. Ergonomics in learning facilities can improve comfort during learning activities. The purpose of this research was to learn the ergonomics of classroom chairs and complaints from students. The method in this research was survey with descriptive analysis. The subjects are 119 Environmental Health students of Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta in 2014. The variables in this research were the ergonomics of classroom chairs, static antropometrics dimension measurements, and the compatibility. The result indicated that most wooden chairs (90.5%) were not ergonomics and most folding chairs (55.8%) were ergonomics. 50% of respondents who used wooden chairs and 58% who used folding chairs complained of pain on their legs, hips, and back. 69% who used wooden chairs and 19% who used folding chair also complained of pain in their thighs. While 93% who used wooden chairs and 85% who used folding chairs felt uncomfortable sitting for prolonged period of time.
