ABSTRACT Background: Dental and oral health is important for general health. Good or high economic status has greater opportunities for education so it is easier to gain knowledge about health. Orthodontic treatment is generally carried out to correct the abnormal alignment of the teeth and jaw relationships so as to achieve occlusion, normal function and good facial aesthetics, obtain good mastication, and stability of the final result. Objective: The influence of economic and psychosocial status on interest in using fixed orthodontics at the Healthy Home Dental Clinic and UGM pharmacy is known. Method: Analytical observational research method with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique was carried out using an accidental sampling technique with a sample size of 50 respondents using a questionnaire. The research was conducted in January – February 2024. Research Location: Healthy Home Dental Clinic and UGM Yogyakarta Pharmacy. Data analysis used normality, bivariate and Spearman rank correlation tests Results: Cross tabulation scores of economic and psychosocial status with interest had moderate economic and psychosocial status with moderate interest as many as 20 respondents (40%). The results of the bivariate analysis of the Spearman rank correlation p-value were obtained at 0.001 < 0.05, that is, a significant value < 0.05 was obtained so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Conclusion: There is an influence of economic and psychosocial status on interest in using fixed orthodontics at the Healthy Home Dental Clinic and UGM pharmacy.
