Mosquitoes are insects that can transmit various types of diseases that can
be harmful to humans. Indonesia is a country in the tropical region so there are
various kinds of mosquitoes in Indonesia. The number of mosquitoes in Indonesia
increases the cases of diseases transmitted from mosquito bites, one of which is
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever which is transmitted by the bite of Aedes sp.
According to the Ministry of Health, cases of dengue fever that occurred in 2017
occurred 202,314 cases including 1,593 deaths. As a result of the high incidence
of diseases transmitted from mosquito bites, control is necessary. One of
mosquitoes control is using Ultraviolet Mosquito Traps which are considered
effective for killing mosquitoes.
This research is a quasi-experimental study with the design of “One Group
Pre and Post Test Design” consisting of trap A, trap B, and Trap C. The results of
the study were tested using the SPSS One Way Anova computer program, The
trap with the most effective power is a 5 watt power trap with a decrease in the
number of mosquitoes by 41.3 tails (82.7%) and capable to kill Aedes sp.
