Yogyakarta Kidul Square is a training ground for palace warriors, and as a place to check the troops before Grebeg ceremony. Now Kidul square is also used as a place for people to travel. The Kidul Square is 160 x 160 meters surrounded by a 2 meter fence. According to the observation, Yogyakarta Kidul Square has not met the sanitation requirements of tourist attractions because there are still dirty toilets and the visitors are still littering. This type of research is a survey research using descriptive analysis, aiming to describe the condition of the sanitation of tourist attractions in the Yogyakarta Square as the object or subject of the target of research. This research uses primary and secondary data types. Primary data are obtained from a checklist that is filled out from the survey results to find out the sanitation conditions of the Yogyakarta City Square and secondary data are ob tained from various journal and book sources that assisted the research. The results of this study include environmental conditions, sanitation facility conditions, and other variables in the Yogyakarta City Square with a total score of 711.3 points or 70.8% which are categorized as eligible. Location and building conditions at the Tourist Sanitation Facility in Yogyakarta’s Kidul Square are stated to be eligible with a score of 64 points or 80%. The Condition of Sanitation Facility for Tourist Attractions in Yogyakarta Square is stated to be eligible with a score of 503.3 points or 83.3%. Other variable conditions in Alun-Alun Kidul are declared ineligible with a score of 144 points or 45%.
