Water is a basic requirement for humans who must meet health requirements. The
wells as a source of clean water must be maintained by construction and the distance to
pollutant sources. Many residents of the cured lor hamlet that have wells with
construction conditions and the distance to pollutant sources do not meet the
requirements. Based on the preliminary survey, it was found that one of the population
wells was contaminated by Coliform bacteria, and there were various sources of
pollutants including agricultural land, livestock pens, household waste disposal
channels, saptic tank and landfills. Therefore, this research aims to examine the factors
influencing the quality of the bacteriology of well-dug water in the hamlet of Sembuh
Lor.
This study aims to determine the effect of pollutant source distance and well
construction on the bacteriological quality of the dug well water in Sembuh Lor Hamlet.
The object of this research is the distance of wells with pollutant sources, the condition
of well construction, soil type, direction of groundwater flow and the quality of well
water dug with bacteriological parameters. This type of research is a descriptive survey
with sampling techniques in Purposive Sampling.
The results of this study state that the direction of groundwater flows towards the
southeast and east, the types of soil found in Sembuh Lor Hamlet are two, namely the
Andosol Order with the sub-order of Andic Eutropepts, and the Order Inceptisols with
sub-orders of Typic Tropaquepts. The results of the measurements of pollutant sources
show that 8 dug wells have a distance to the pollutant source that does not meet the
requirements and 2 wells dig with the distance that meets the requirements. The results
of the inspection of well construction obtained 4 (40%) and 6 (60%) dug wells that met
the requirements. The results of water quality checks get results 1 (10%) dug wells meet
the requirements and 9 (90%) dug wells do not meet the requirements.
