The Water Treatment Plant is the main source of water used in the Grhasia Psychiatric Hospital of DIY, so that water quality must meet the conditions that have been determined. On examination of Fe levels carried out on January 23, 2019, the results showed that Fe content was 3 mg / l, while the standard Fe content according to Minister of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017 concerning Environmental Health Quality Standards and Water Health Requirements for Sanitary Hygiene Needs, Swimming Pool, Solus per Aqua, and Public Baths are 1 mg/l. This study was conducted to determine the ability of the Water Treatment Plant in the Grhasia Psychiatric Hospital DIY to reduce iron (Fe) levels. This type of research is a survey with descriptive analysis. The results of this study include iron content in bore wells on the condition of 2 rainy days reaching 3.6 mg/l and in the conditions of 2 days no rain reaches 2.3 mg/l. Towards the first groundtank reservoir, in conditions of 2 rainy days iron content has decreased from 3,6 milligrams per liter to 1.4 milligrams per liter (61.11%) and in conditions of 2 days no rain has decreased from 2,3 milligrams per liter to 2.16 milligrams per liter l (6.08%). Go to the aeration tray, during the 2 rainy days conditions the iron content drops from 1.4 milligrams per liter to 1.2 milligrams per liter (14.28%) and at the condition of not 2 rainy days the iron level drops from 2.16 mg/l to 2 mg/l (7.41%). Towards the coagulationflocculation bath, in the conditions of 2 rainy days the iron content drops from 1.2 mg/l to 1.06 mg/l (11.67%) and in the conditions of 2 days it does not rain, the iron content drops from 2 mg/l to 1.86 mg/l (7%). Towards the sedimentation unit, on the condition of 2 rainy days, the iron content drops from 1.06 mg/l to 0.2 mg/l (81.13%) and in the conditions of 2 days it does not rain, the iron content drops from 1.86 mg/l became 0.36 mg/l (80.64%). Towards the filtration unit, the iron content in the conditions of 2 rainy days has decreased from 0.2 mg/l to 0.1 mg/l (50%) and in the conditions of 2 days it does not rain, iron content drops from 0.36 mg/l to 0.1 mg/l (72.22%). Towards the second groundtank reservoir, iron content in conditions of 2 rainy days and 2 days of rain, drops from 0.1 mg/l to 0 mg/l (100%). Towards a water tower, iron content in conditions of 2 rainy days and 2 days of rain, still 0 mg/l.
