Background: Anxiety in pregnant women can affect the health of mother and fetus. The status of parity as one of the coping mothers that affect how much the level of maternal anxiety in the face of childbirth. In mother who will give birth with surgery must have a different anxiety than the mother who gave birth normally. Anxiety that occurs in women with different parity status has different anxieties in the face of labor, especially with sectio cesarea surgery.
Objectives: Knowledge of the corelation of parity status with the anxiety level of preoperative mother of sectio cesarea at RSKIA Sadewa.
Methods: This research is quantitative research, observational analytic research type with Cross sectional design. The sample of this study amounted to 60 respondents pre sectio cesarea in spinal anesthesia. Sampling by purposive sampling, test used is Chi Square test.
Results: The result of the study showed that the parity status of the preoperative mother of sectio cesarea with spinal anesthesia was mostly 27 (45,0%) of primiparous respondents, with the highest level of anxiety at 19 (31,7%) minor anxiety. The results obtained p value of valve 0.008 (α 0.1) with r 0.405.
Conclusion: There is a of parity status corelation with anxiety level of preoperative mother of sectio cesarea at RSKIA Sadewa with moderate corelation.
