Background: PONV is one of side effect that mostly happen after general anesthesia, that occur in early 24 hours postoperative in about 30 – 70% in hospitalized patient. Risk score to predict PONV have been used as classification method appropriate with risk pediction and give appropriate profilaxis. Koivuranta and Sinclair score can be for daily application and in statistic manner indicate prediction score higher than other score system. Purpose: In order to know the difference of sensitivity specificity Koivuranta and Sinclair score as PONV predictor post general anesthesia. Method: This study method uses cohort – prospective design with consecutive sampling technique. Sample categorized as 2 of patient with score Koivuranta predictor and patient with Sinclair predictor, each group consist of 30 patient. Data are taken by interview and immediate observation to the patients. Data analysis uses relative risk, diagnostic test, and chi – square. Study Result: This study result obtain sencitivity and specificity of Koivuranta score 87.5% and 36.1%, whereas Sinclair score 91.7% and 61.1%, then obtain P – value 0.012. Consclution: There is a significaned sencitivity specificity difference between Koivuranta and Sinclair score for predicting PONV post general anesthesia in RSUD Wates.
