The height of Age Life Expectancy in Indonesia that reaches 70,8% in 2015, the increase number of elderly abandoned at DIY that reaches 38.449 persons, dependency ratio till 12,71% in 2014, and this number estimated increase which continues, signifies that elderly more dependent and needs support from the immediate environment, especially their family. The families should have the readiness to facing elderly with all the changes so that elderly can live prosperous. The goals of this research are knowing the level family readiness with valuing the knowledge and attitude level about elderly psychosocial condition. This research is descriptive research with survey method at Jowah VI, Sidoluhur, Godean. Sampling technique using purposive sampling and obtained 55 respondents has elderly and pre-elderly at home. Data retrieval used the questionnaires. Researcher used the single variable that is family readiness to facing elderly psychosocial condition. The result of this research showing the good knowledge level 94,6%, medium knowledge 5,4%, good attitude 81,8%, medium attitude 18,2%, the level of readiness get 92,7%, and medium readiness get 7,3%. Based on this data, can summary that families in Jowah VI, Sidoluhur Village, Godean, Sleman, has good readiness. It meanings that families ready to faced elderly psychosocial condition.
