Background of studyWater is a daily necessity that is very important for humans. In its use must be available both in quantity and quality, poor water quality will be the cause of disease Aim of study: To determine the physical quality and level of pollution of Coliform bacteria based on variations in the depth of the ground water table. Research Method: This research uses survey method with cross sectional design, and purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted in March-April 2020. The research location was in Lendah District, Kulon Progo Regency. Data analysis uses One Way Analysis of Variance. Result Descriptive test results of physical quality and pollution level of Coliform bacteria showed 12 dug wells contaminated with Coliform bacteria, for the TDS level all dug well samples met the requirements, the temperature measurement results of all samples met the requirements, all until the wells did not smell and taste. The results of statistical tests using One Way Analysis of Variance for the level of Coliform bacteria pollution got Sig value of 0.432, which means there is no significant difference in each variation in the depth of the ground water table. In the measurement of the temperature obtained Sig value of 0.066 can be concluded that there is no significant difference from any variation in the depth of the ground water table. In the TDS test the Sig value of 0.739 is obtained. Thus, TDS for each depth does not have a significant difference. Keywords: : Water, Coliform bacteria, physical quality of water, dug wells
