A teenage life is started by puberty. The important stage of it is called menarche. The trend of the menarche’s age in Indonesia at the early years of age 12,5-13 can cause the attitude is not ready, psychosocial disorders, and teen pregnancy, so they need to be prepared at the age of 11-12 years. Knowledge, attitudes, and forming behavior should be given to teenage girls to prepare in facing menarche. The purpose of this study was to know the menarche’s knowledge level and attitude. The type of this study was descriptive with cross-sectional design. The subject of this study was 67 students of 5th and 6th grades at SDN Sokowaten Baru Banguntapan Bantul. The result of this study was that students who had good knowledge are 49,3% and sufficient level are 44,8% and students who had positive attitudes toward menarche were 56,7% and negative attitudes toward menarche are 43,3%. Students who had less knowledge couldn’t be found in their parents educational background university (0%), their parents occupation (government officers) (0%), and the other three information (0%). Students who had negative attitudes could be found in their parents educational background, elementary/junior high school (48,3%/57,1%), labor’s father (31%), housewives (60,7%), and other source information (86,2%).
