Background : Autistic children are one group in a group of children with special needs, namely children who are less able to organize something, lack planning something, have difficulty finding solutions and are less flexible in carrying out tasks. Autistic children cannot show a loving relationship with parents and peers. The sensor stimulus for autistic children is processed in a different way from normal children, resulting in autistic children having difficulty expressing affection in the way normal children do. Autistic children have difficulty interacting with peers, difficulties in fine motor development lack understanding language and verbal communication. The fine motor development of autistic children is different from normal child development in general. Objective: To know the effect of stimulation of puzzle play on the development of fine motoric autistic children at Citra Mulia Mandiri special school Yogyakarta. Method: Type of research Quasi experiment with the design “Pre test Post test with Control Group Design”. This design has a comparison group (control), observation is done twice. The first observation to find out the fine motor development of an autistic child before being given stimulation to play a puzzle and second observation after being given stimulation to play a puzzle. Sampling was done by total sampling as many as 32 autistic children with the criteria of autistic children aged 6-12 years in the autistic school Citra Mulia Mandiri Yogyakarta. The results of the examination data were analyzed descriptively and analytically with the help of the SPSS program for Windows version 16.0 using pair t-test, Wilcoxon, Mann Whitney and Delta test with a significant level <0.05. Results: The development of fine motor autistic children in the experimental group was in the poor category and in the control group in the less category. In the experimental group the value of pre test and post test with p (sig) 0,000 <0,05 means that there is a difference between the pre test and post test in the experimental group. In the control group the value of the pre test and post test with p (sig) 0.068> 0.05 means that there is no difference between the experimental group pre test and post test. The results of the delta test in the experimental and control groups p (sig) <0.05. Conclusion: There is an effect of stimulation of puzzle playing on the development of fine motoric autistic children at Citra Mulia Mandiri special school Yogyakarta with a p value (sig) <0.05 means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.
