Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is one of the health problems in Indonesia. In 2009, the Case Fatality Rate (CFR)of DHF mortality rate in West Kalimantan Province ranked 2nd in Indonesia. As the obligate intracellular parasite, living in the host’s living cells and without causing a fatal effect on the host.Aims: This research analyzed the variation effect of the Water Reservoir Plus Micronecta (WRPM) which was the most effective against the predation of Aedes aegypti larvae. Settings and Design: This research used a pure experiment with the posttest-only control group design. Methods and Material:Materials and equipment, consisting of Micronecta culture and larvae and rainwater media. Tools include a digital water pH temperature meter to measure water pH and temperature, a turbidimeter to measure water turbidity, and a magnifying glass to help calculate larval mortality.Statistical analysis used:Oneway ANOVA and Post hoc test aimed to see which treatment group was the most effective. Results: The measurement results showed a difference in the mean decrease in larval predation between the control and treatment groups, with a significance level of P-Value = 0.004. Conclusions:There is a difference in the mean predation of Aedes aegypti larvae between variations of Water Reservoir Plus Micronecta in the treatment group and the control group. The Water Reservoir Plus Micronecta group that was most effective as predation was group 4, namely WRPM 20 Micronectas.
