THE EFFECTIVENESS OF “PELAJARI ANEMIA” SONG TOWARD ADOLESCENT WOMEN KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ANEMIA AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 3 BANTUL Dani Zulfa Kotrunnada1, Irianton Aritonang2, Almira Sitasari3 Department of Nutrition, Ministry of Health Yogyakarta Polytechnic Jl. Tatabumi No.3 Banyuraden, Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta (Email: daninada6@gmail.com) ABSTRAK Backgrounds: Anemia is one of the four main nutritional problems in Indonesia. The rate of anemia is related to iron deficiency in Indonesia, which is still high. The percentage of anemia in women is higher than anemia in men. Women are prospective mothers who will give birth to a new generation, therefore the necessary of iron to young women is more than another group so that iron deficiency does not occur before pregnancy especially in adolescent women.Knowledge about anemia in adolescent women is needed and it needs to be given as early as possible Song is effective to be used as health education media that contain various information, especially in listening activities because they have two elements, namely music and lyrics. Objective: To find out the effectiveness of “Pelajari Anemia” song toward adolescent women’s knowledge about anemia. Methode: This study was a quasi-experimental study with pretest and posttest with control group design. The subjects of this study were 34 adolescent women in grade 8 at Junior High School 3 Bantul. Results: The research showed that there was no significant difference in the pre test and posttest value of knowledge about anemia in the song and flyer media groups, there was a significant effect with delivery of anemia information using song and flyer media on against anemia knowledge (p=0,000) and there is a significant difference in the posttest-pretest knowledge scores between the song and flyer groups (p= 0,006). Conclusion: “Pelajari Anemia” song and anemia flyer had an effect on increasing adolescent women’s knowledge about anemia. “Pelajari Anemia” song is more effective in increasing knowledge about anemia in adolescent women.
