Waste management has not been in accordance with the methods and techniques of environmentally sound waste management so as to have a negative impact on public health and the environment. Preventive health is done in children or school children because children are a group that is still easy to be given understanding of knowledge, attitudes and behaviors that will affect for adult life later. One of the primary school students’ learning media is a snake ladder game that serves to facilitate the acceptance of health messages for children because it takes the concept of learning and playing. The success of a counseling conducted later can be seen from the increase in knowledge of elementary school students about waste management. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of the game “Snake Ladder of Love Environment” as a medium of learning in increasing knowledge about waste management in students SDN Bener. This research is a quasi experiment research with Sparate Sample Pretest-Posttest design and using research subjects as many as 29 students of grade V of State Elementary School Bener, the sample was taken using nonrandom technique with Total Sampling system which the result was analyzed using Paired Samples T- Test with significance level (α) = 0,05. The result of pre-test value of student is 36,02% and result of student’s post-test 63,98% so student knowledge increase equal to 27,96%. The conclusion of the research stated that there is a significant influence on the use of game “snake ladder love environment” as a medium of learning in improving knowledge about waste management in SDN Bener students with Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) or p value = 0,000 <0.05. With the increase of students' knowledge increased by 27.96%.
